About Us
Every SUCCESSFUL dancer starts with a GOOD foundation
A welcoming studio where learning can be an escape and happy place for your dancer.
Our teachers are driven to offer safe instruction that focuses on the foundations of dance.
Our Story
In 1989, the Ireland Academy of Dance held its first recital. Under the direction of Miss Liane Ireland, the studio continued to grow year after year, providing examination and competition opportunities to Belleville, Campbellford, Stirling, and neighbouring dancers.
Miss Liane has since retired from Directing the Ireland Academy of Dance. On June 2, 2025, Miss Isabella Rapino stepped in as the new Director and rebranded the studio to
Foundations Dance Academy.
Miss Isabella Rapino grew up at the Ireland Academy, starting off as a once-a-week student to later joining the competition team, teaching faculty, and choreography staff. Now assuming the role of Director and Owner, she strives to continue making the studio a heartwarming space for all dancers to call their second home.
The studio name may have changed, but Miss Liane's legacy and the same great service she's always offered will continue for many more years to come. Miss Isabella is eager to continue guiding students through their dance examinations, offer them opportunities to work with industry leading professionals, and teach them the "tricks of the trade" to becoming a certified teacher themselves.
